Maryland State Delegate Karen Montgomery voted to enable radical Islam!
Eric Cary
You all remember the Fort Hood Shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan, well he prayed at the Muslim Youth Community and Multiuse Center in Silver Spring under imam Anwar al-Awlaki. The U.S. under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence warned that al-Awlaki "is extraordinarily dangerous, committed to carrying out deadly attacks on Americans and others worldwide". The Ft Hood attack was done on November 5, 2009, and is known as the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.
The details of Maj. Nidal’s lifestyle and contacts were known almost immediately after the attack. Obviously Maryland State Delegates from district 14, including my opponent Karen Montgomery, never got the memo, or maybe they ignored it when they asked the citizens of Maryland to borrow money to give this mosque (that is a private corporation) $200,000 dollars to continue its teachings of hatred towards American voters. You will notice that the request for funding was made on Feb 2010, not 3 months after the attack!
Nice move there delegates Ali, Taylor, Barkley, Kaiser, Montgomery, and Reznik.

"Ride in the Back Seat," Racist Comment?
“Ride in the Back Seat,” Racist comment?
Al Ritter
When President Obama referred to the situation in our country right now of who is in charge, did his comment tinge of racial over tone? Was Barack Obama referring to republicans in the way Rosa Parks had to go to the back of the bus? Was he possibly referring to riding in the back seat as a dismissive attitude towards all republicans? Either way the comment was highly objectionable.
Late last week he told the Latino community to “rise up against their enemies.” Was he referring to Mexico? Of course he wasn’t, he was referring to the illegal community rising up against the conservative party that only wants them to enter the country legally.
No time in history has any President referred to his own citizens as the “enemy.” This trend has to stop or the country will be irreparably damaged! Obama campaigned as the “uniter,” and yet all he has done in two years is divide America. One side is the “haves,” and that refers to the Republican Party, and then there are the “have nots,” which just so happen to be his party of democrats bent on moving America to the left.
The democrats paint yet another false picture of the republicans being the rich party, while that couldn’t be farther from the truth. It just so happens the democrats paint a picture of themselves as being the champion of the little guy, which should rather be considered the party who feeds the needs of welfare.
When will the electorate finally wake up and see the democrats for what they are……..enablers of the voter looking for a free governmental ride!
Op-Ed Article Sent to All Maryland Media
There is a Story in Maryland, and it’s Being Ignored
Eric Cary
I find myself in one of the strangest situations I’ve even been involved in. I am one of a handful black conservatives running for the Maryland State Legislature, and not one of us is being recognized by the local media. Even though I am 6’ 6” tall, the media will crawl over me, and my fellow black candidates to talk to a white liberal, or in my opponent’s case a white female self-confessed “communist, liberal b___.”
I’m not sure if the media fixation is because of race or because of the letter “R” behind our names, but the result is the same regardless. All five of us deal with the stigma attached to the party of being a Republican in a strong democratically controlled state, but this true censorship on the issues. How can issues be discussed when the media won’t allow us the same access as the Democrats?
My opponent has already declared she is the “senator elect from district 14” and yet the general election is 11 days away. All five of us assumed we would be given equal time in the media, obviously that isn’t the case in Maryland, affirmative action is alive and well in the state of Maryland, and the Democrats are the recipients.

Losing Is Winning, I Don’t Think So
Losing Is Winning, I Don’t Think So

Imagine yourself a high school basketball coach. You play the school biggest rival and you win the game 40 points. You play them again the following year and you lose by 35 points. Since your loss was less than the loss the other team took the previous year, are you going to tell the local newspaper that although you may have technically lost the game, it was still a major victory because you didn’t lose by as many as the other team did the previous year? Any coach who did that would be looking for a new job within weeks of a statement like that. Come November 3rd, this is the exact kind of thing you are going to be hearing from the democrats and the media is going to be eating it up. I fully expect the republicans to pick up 57 seats in the house and recapture the majority. I only expect the republicans to pick up 7 or 8 seats in the senate and will remain in the minority by a few seats. Because I do not think the republicans are going to pick up the house, the left leaning media will tout this as a major setback for the Republican Party and a major victory for the left. Losing is losing no matter how you add up the numbers except in politics.
I seem to recall that in 02, the republicans didn’t lose close to the number of seats the democrats are poised to lose in either house and the media was calling that election as well as the 04, 06 & 08 elections major victories for the democrats. Just as with politics being the only place you can brag that a loss is actually a win, birthdays and in the media is the only place where it is commonplace to have your cake and eat it too.
Maryland Legislators Violate Intent of the Law to save Pete Stark
Maryland Legislators Violate Intent of the Law to save Pete Stark
Al Ritter
In 2010 Maryland lawmakers decided to amend the requirements for the “Homestead Tax Credit,” but not entirely, only for a select few people.
Do you remember the big issue of Congressman Pete Stark of California who claimed a homestead tax credit on his home in Harwood, MD in 2009? Pete had claimed his yearly homestead tax credit of $3700 despite the fact that he claimed the California home as his principal residence. The requirements for the homestead tax credit at that time said that the home owner must have only one residence, and if married that you may have only one primary residence. Pay close attention to time frames here because they are important. This came to light in the media on March 19, 2009. With the State of Maryland Property Tax Division breathing down Pete Stark’s back, a private deal was being struck by legislators in MD.
On January 22 Delegates Pendergrass, Carr, Conaway, Costa, DeBoy, Guzzone, McDonough, Mizeur, Montgomery, Robinson, Smigiel, Sophocleus, Sossi, F. Turner, and Walkup penned a bill entitled “Homestead Property Tax Credit - Eligibility of Employees of the Federal Government Stationed Outside the State.”
The synopsis of this bill is as follows: Providing that under specified circumstances a homeowner who is an employee of the federal government stationed outside the State may qualify for the homestead property tax credit for a dwelling even though the homeowner does not live in the dwelling for the required period of time.
For no other reason than cronyism the Maryland legislature passed this bill into law on March 31, 2010 to insulate Pete Stark, all other US legislators and for that matter ANY federal government employee from the taxes that anyone else has to pay when owning a second home outside the state.
How much do they save by claiming the homestead tax credit, well Pete Stark saves $3700 yearly, multiple that by a possible 535 legislators in Washington, plus ANY federal employee and just take a wild guess how much Maryland is losing in taxes to save face for Pete Stark. This law was originally used to keep Marylanders in Maryland.
Originally you had to promise to stay in Maryland in that residence for 5 years………now what does it mean?.............NOTHING! Be sure to thank your Maryland Legislators that passed this bill!
Dear Patriots
Dear Patriots,
William Grant Burmer
There are two aspects of law and government which, when I hear pontificated by lawyers and politicians of the “modern Era,” just exasperate me. One is “Separation of Church and State,” and the other “the Commerce Clause” of the Constitution: in particular are their interpretations by this group, for they affect our Liberties in a profound way. Simply stated, when properly understood by the polity, both are objects of modern revisionist history.
Thomas Paine in the introduction to his book “Common Sense” makes the following statement: “. . . a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right. . .”
The above quote is from the very first paragraph to his introduction, now this comes from the last paragraph of the same: “Who the Author of this Production is, is wholly unnecessary to the Public, as the Object for Attention is the Doctrine itself, not the Man.”
As a long time student of history I am at all times struck with the understanding that there have been great men and women of history, and scripture, who have expressed truths, or Doctrines far better than any of us, in particular Lawyers, Politicians, and even judges.
The bunch of us would do well to give more attention to history and scripture, and those who wrote it, and lived it, as did our founders. They, relying upon God, formulated a plan and put it in writing for us to understand and enforce. Enforce upon Whom? Those elected to serve We the People.
As for the titles which inspired this bit of expression, I humbly refer the reader to page 51-52 of my Book “We the People” for the first part, and to the Constitution, see Article 1 Section 8, Clause 3 and a quote from Barack Hussein Obama answers the second part. In 2008 Barack Hussein Obama, in part expressed a rare truth, from his lips to our ears: “. . . the Constitution . . . Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the federal Government can’t do to you . . .”
Thereafter if “Common Sense” serves its purpose upon the reader, all superficial tidbits of Law, politicians, a President, and Lawyers, may safely be left to wither—in “Paine.”
All Past Democratic Presidents have Amnesia
All Past Democratic Presidents have Amnesia
Al Ritter
President Carter recently said he thought he was “superior” to all the other living past presidents, and yet he has Amnesia about his part in the economic collapse in 2008. President Clinton denies his part in the financial collapse; obviously he has Amnesia about the very bill he signed into law called the Welfare Reform Act which gave teeth to an earlier program. President Obama claims he now has the keys to the car that the past administration drove into the ditch, but being the historical rewriter he is, ignores his party’s part in the financial disaster.
Granted Barack Obama was a mere 16 years old when the base was laid down by President Carter for the collapse of the housing bubble, but any honest research on even goggle can uncover this “superior” President’s part. The Community Reinvestment Act did more to remove the tools of lending institutions to make responsible loans than any other law. To be successful in the secured collateral lending field one has to have the ability to research an applicant’s ability to repay that loan. President Carter and his administration didn’t see this as a tool of the industry, he saw it as racial discrimination, and thusly the housing rush was on. The CRA fell conveniently into the hands of the race baiters of the 80’s and 90’s, and house loans were granted to practically anyone, who was poor, black or both.
Then there was a housing shortage because the applicants out-numbered the available housing. Because of the glut in the market, housing prices inflated to an unsustainable rate in the late 90’s. Democrats in the house and senate denied there was even a problem when President Bush had warned them 21 times in his two terms that this housing bubble was about to burst and drive Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into financial ruin. In an effort to appear to support the “little guy,” the democrats in Congress pushed back hard, even playing the race card, in an effort to silence the executive branch.
The sad part in all this is that “the keys to the car” are still in Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd’s hands. Not one of these contributing factors to the financial collapse has been changed under the law. Not one of the laws passed to keep home mortgage companies from researching the credit history of the applicants has been rescinded. Instead the democrats cleverly switch the blame to the big bad banking industry, rather than accept the blame, change the laws and move on. This leaves our country ripe for yet another housing collapse sometime in the future.
CRA should stand for “can’t remember anything,” rather than Community Reinvestment Act.
Has Obama helped or hurt America?
Has Obama helped or hurt America?
Al Ritter
President Obama ran his campaign in 2007 on uniting America, but has he really? Policies on taxation and welfare have divided America even further and in many respects served to cause even more class warfare than any time in the past. His answer has been to give more Americans welfare and social programs than any President in the past, thereby raising the bar of any person considered “in poverty.” Following those actions, President Obama has now claimed that the divide between those in poverty and those who are wealth is even farther apart, but is that actually true?
The actual term poverty means different things to different people. The final decider of poverty is the government who raises that level on almost a yearly basis. Most social programs of the government are based on percentages of poverty. Never is the term used in under a 100% basis. For instance the government will use a term such as 120% of poverty to describe the ability for a person to apply for public assistance. In laymen’s terms, that means someone making 20% more than the poverty level can apply to the program. This effectively raises the level of poverty without making the formal decoration by congress. Institution of these floating levels of poverty allows the government to make false claims about how many Americans are poor.
Racial equality has been another issue with this President. Unfortunately African-Americans are taking the brunt of Obama’s isolating remarks dealing with race. When he sides with a college professor before knowing the facts in a criminal investigation and demonizes the police department, he drives a wedge in between white and black America. When he forces the DOJ to drop a case already tried in court and received a conviction for no particular reason other than the people convicted were part of the new Black Panther party that drives a wedge in between black and white America. On the campaign promise of delivering a more united America, the President has failed miserably. In fact Obama's actions may very well have set back race relations 100 years.
President Obama has been the master of promises, both in his campaign and in his presidency, but has failed miserably on his ability to make good on those promises. He has lied repeatedly on Gitmo, Iraq, the economy, the unemployment problem, health care, taxes, cap and trade, illegal immigration, and on and on. His inability to tell the truth not only hurts Americans, but hurts our country in foreign eyes. Even though George Bush’s policies near the end of his presidency didn’t sit well with the American people, there was never an inconsistent word about his need to protect the American people.
The apology tour that President Obama embarked upon in the European nations was a monumental disaster for the good of our country. Obama weakened our stance in the world court of power. His apologies did almost as much to hurt this country as the crumbling of the Berlin Wall did to hurt the USSR. His consistent pandering to foreign countries and enemies of the state, have not only hurt our standing in the world’s eye, but in some cases bordered on treasonable acts according to our Constitution.
The Constitution has always been a firewall against a group intent on hurting our national freedom. Obama and company have done their best to trample that document to the fullest. We have gone from a nation of laws to a nation of mob rule. Right now in Congress laws are being forced through on daily basis without so much as a discussion from both sides of the aisle, in fact most vote counts are done in secret to avoid any involvement from the republican representation. Is this right? Is this the way our founding fathers intended the process to be done? If allowed to continue in this direction we are well on our way to one party rule, and what almost always follows one party rule is dictatorship.
Are we better now than we were on December 31, 2006?..............remember the democrats took over the government in January 2007.
Where is Joe McCarthy when we need him?
Where is Joe McCarthy when we need him?

In the 50’s Joe McCarthy was the leading politician who was rooting out the evil socialist/communists in America. He did uncover many political figures silently trying to fundamentally change America. Unfortunately he did ruin a few careers in the entertainment industry that ended up being falsely accused of being communists.
Today we need a voice in government to bring back the Joe McCarthy style investigations. Today in Congress we have 70 politicians who proudly fly their “socialist flag.” They are doing anything in secret they are blatantly declaring their allegiance to the principles of socialism. You know many of these politicians; most will do anything for a photo-op. Some helped write bills that Americans are so vocally against. To be honest, the backlash against Hollywood is the 50’s would be well deserved today as many actors and those in the entertainment field actively support dictators, socialists, and communists.

Bob Ehrlich, is exploiting Maryland Republicans for his own Gain
Bob Ehrlich, is exploiting Maryland Republicans for his own Gain
Al Ritter
When Bob Ehrlich was our last Governor of Maryland, I heard some rumblings from inside the party about his arrogance and aloof nature. I signed this off to some disgruntled party workers and never thought about it again.
This off year election has certainly been interesting to say the least, but this year, as most of you know I got involved in politics, not as a candidate but in the inner workings of an actual campaign. I saw how the Republican Party of Maryland really worked in the spring when at the Ocean City Convention convened, the only person allowed to speak hadn’t even filed or for that matter declared to run for Governor…….that person was Bob Ehrlich. One republican at that time had declared he was running and had actually filed for the run but was denied the opportunity to even speak……that was Brian Murphy.
Supporters of Ehrlich excused this “oversight,” by saying that Murphy had no chance so why give him the stage on which to speak? Many republicans walked out of that convention for this very reason. Problems persisted into the summer as Bob Ehrlich held out for as long as possible before he filed for the campaign, leaving most of the republicans running for state offices in the lurch.
Private republican donors are in short supply in Maryland, and they patiently waited while Ehrlich made up his mind to run. The current anti-incumbency feeling has not transferred effectively into this contest, the favorable rating should be on the Ehrlich side in close to double digit numbers, but it hasn’t come, and to me this speaks volumes to Ehrlich’s campaign and tactics.
The Maryland Legislature has been basically democratic since 1959, and at best a republican governor can merely be a thorn in the side to the legislature. True change has to come in the form of the house and senate in Maryland and not in the gubernatorial arena alone.
None of this matters to Bob Ehrlich, he needs to satisfy his own egotistical need to be the governor again. He knows that he has gobbled up valuable donor resources to fuel his own campaign. Democrats fund their campaigns in Maryland from democratic PAC groups.
Republicans get their campaign funds from businesses and individuals. Ehrlich’s strong arm tactics in September speaks volumes on his selfish motivation.
If Bob Ehrlich fails in November, all this money was wasted when it could have been used for candidate development and endorsement. Ehrlich’s campaign has divided the already fractured infrastructure of republicans in Maryland. His tactics were somewhat similar to George Bush’s when he said “You are either with us or you are against us.”
Immediately after Ehrlich’s filing, he demanded and got the endorsement from every incumbent republican in the legislature. If you questioned his motives or as much as talked to his primary challenger, you were black balled by his clique group of republicans.
Any candidate who runs to the right of Ehrlich, he sees as a threat somehow to his campaign. Rather than running a campaign of republican unity, it’s all been about BOB!
The infrastructure in the Maryland Republican Party is sparse, and that is being kind. Nobody within the party shares anything; voters lists, donor lists, county leader lists, etc. The 3rd most powerful position in Maryland is State Comptroller, and the Maryland Republican party wouldn’t even give Mr. Campbell a dime towards his campaign!
Until the Maryland Republican Party takes an active stance to promote and bring young candidates up through the ranks, they will fail to even have a 50% representation in either house in Annapolis. We have accepted self- defeat as a way of life in Maryland.
It’s no wonder Marylanders are escaping to other states, with friends like this…………who needs enemies?

Continuation of Constitutionalism 101
Continuation of Constitutionalism 101
William G Burmer
I wanted to share this article with you, because it ties directly into my past articles on the Constitution
New American May 25, 2009 www.jbs.org
Pressing forward with the theme God and Country, again from the New American May 25 2009, Thomas Jefferson was not the only Founder governed my Faith in God. Indeed you will, if you have not previously discovered, all of our founders were so governed in their private, and public lives.
They all knew the evils associated with a reliance on the whims of men, elected or otherwise, for individual Liberties and Freedoms.
Unanimously, in signing the Declaration, they all recognized that individual Liberties are endowed by Natures God and the Creator, and they all relied on the protection of divine Providence as they set forth to end Governments violations of those Liberties, pledging to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
The Declaration of Independence embodies the profound, high-order principles of Republican Government that all men are created with equal unalienable Rights, that governments are formed by men to secure these Rights, and that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the People.
With Americas Charter secured, its by-Laws followed. In describing the purpose of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Virginia delegate Edmund Randolph commented: The general object was to provide a cure for the evils under which the United States labored, that in tracing these evils, to their origin, every man had found it in the turbulence and follies of democracy.
Guided by the Creator and the Charter, with a single-mindedness of purpose, steering clear of democracys shoals, the Founders mapped a course for an enduring Republican America that would limit government and maximize individual Freedom and Liberty. Guided by the Creator and the Charter, the Founders adopted a Constitution that guarantees to every State in this union a Republican Form of Government. FYI SEE, Article 4, Section 4, United States Constitution.
The Founders, like many scholars of their day, knew well that Democracy, ruled as it is by men rather than law, will eventually sink all ships of State. Professor Alexander Fraser Tyler, writing when the states were still colonies of Great Britain, explained why democracies always fail; A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of Government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess of the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that Demoracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy .
John Marshall, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1801-1835, had this to say: Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos. John Adams warned: Remember, democracy never last long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy that did not commit suicide.
Historians, including American historian Charles Austin Beard (1874-1948) confirmed the Founders distaste for democracy as the vilest form of government; At no time, at no place in solemn convention assembled, through no chosen agents, had the American people officially proclaimed the Unites States to be a democracy. The Constitution did not contain the word or any word lending countenance to it .
On the other hand, the Founders gave clear expression to the blessings of a Republican Form of Government; rights that cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws; rights derived from the Great Legislator of the Universe. To jettison the Constitution is to sink the Republic. Without question, our Constitution has been abandoned by Americas elected and appointed officials and those whose water they carry. Its violations are numerous and mounting with each newly elected Congress and President. In addition, as the record clearly shows that since 1995, each new Congress and President have arrogantly refused to respond to repeated Petitions for a Remedy to these Grievances, instead answering the Peoples Petitions only with repeated injuries, playing both to the mob and to those who feed at the public financial trough.
America has transitioned from a Republic to a democracy even while the Constitution of the Unites States of America lies in plain sight.
