Social Progressivism is Killing Us!

Bold and interjections are mine:

Social progressivism is the view that social mores, human nature, and morality are capable of progress (progress?) through history in a manner similar to that of scientific knowledge. Social progressives believe that there is no inherent value in tradition. They argue that all social arrangements - including marriage, the family and gender roles - are not fixed; rather, they should be changed or updated whenever such a change is for the greater good of society ("greater good of society". Excuse me while I barf!") or it benefits the people who wish to engage in those social arrangements. The opposite of social progressivism is called social conservatism.
Social progressives believe that some historical mores are wrong or dogmatic and that present knowledge ("theory" is far more accurate.)gained from science and philosophy has disproved many traditional beliefs. In the past, social progressives advocated the right to vote for women. Today, social progressivism in the West generally supports same-sex marriage, birth control, and women's right to choose an abortion. (What this really means is a woman's right to kill her baby.)

If somehow you've managed to hibernate and have not heard about the Gloucester, Massachusetts teenagers who made a pact to get pregnant, then you can go to this link to read about it. It seems these school girls made frequent trips to their school clinic to take pregnancy tests and were upset when the tests proved negative. *sigh* One of the fathers has been identified as a 24 year-old homeless man. Good grief!

I can't tell you how much this has upset me. In fact, when I first heard about it I cried. I cried for the girls who are victims of a society that has gone utterly mad. I cried for the babies that are going to be born without fathers. I cried out of sheer frustration and white hot anger, and I cried out of selfish self-pity that my beloved country is turning it's back on God. This is the result and until we get back on track we are going to see a lot more of it! I've seen the news anchors on Fox News attempting to figure out why the girls would do such a thing. I don't think it takes a genius to understand that when you have a nursery in the school for unwed mothers so they can attend school - a nursery where the students can see the cute little babies and understand that there is absolutely no stigma whatsoever attached to being pregnant outside of marriage, something like this is going to happen.

In Tampa, Florida Condo Owners are building condos which include nude swimming pools. As one condo owner says:

"We know there are people out there who will enjoy this amenity," said Christine Pirkle, director of sales for project-developer Eden Condominiums. "It's just become more accepted and people who want this option don't have very much of it."

They don't have very much of it! Poor babies! This same person bemoans the fact that only some Florida counties allow nudity on the beach. How utterly deprived we are! Yes, it has always been my lifelong ambition to go cavort in front of strange men at the beach or in a public pool totally nude so that voyeurs could get their jollies! (Please note extreme sarcasm.) How utterly depraved we have become. Of course the above is only two examples of the direction this country is heading.
